Congratulations! Your company has been nominated as a best place to work. The Best Places to Work in Southern Nevada (SM) is a celebration to recognize outstanding employer practices. In light of the current economic situation, focus this year will be placed on what your organization is doing or has done recently to weather the storm and/or policies/practices you have in place focusing on a brighter economic future. In order to apply for this year's Original "Best Places to Work in Southern Nevada (SM)" award, we require that you provide more information about your organization and its HR practices.

 

To enter the competition, you must complete and submit all portions of this form, including requested photos and logos, no later than August 29, 2011 by 5:00 p.m. ONLY ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED. Be sure your application is submitted by the deadline. NO LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED.

Part III - HR Practices
Even after several years, Las Vegas is still in the midst of one of the worst recessions in our history. There are signs a recovery is around the corner, but many organizations are still struggling. In recognition of the current economic situation, the focus of this year's Original "Best Places to Work in Southern Nevada (SM)" awards will be placed on the organization's best practices both to weather the storm and to prepare for a brighter economic picture. The goal is to recognize outstanding HR practices for organizations that have been able to survive the past few years as well as those that were the lucky few to thrive in the current economy.

 

Please describe some of the unique contributions that your HR practices or programs have made toward the organization's overall success. Please highlight any HR practices or initiatives that have helped your organization achieve its objectives. Submissions in this section are limited to 3500 characters.
